A welcome from our principal...

Dear Satellite community,

Welcome to Satellite Academy High School. Our community is one that helps shape young people, encourage their love of learning, and empowers them to become healthy, strong, brave, and involved citizens.

It was good news for Satellite Academy in April. During our annual School Quality Review, Satellite (all four campuses) got the highest available ranking of "well developed." Outside evaluators come for three days and look at all aspects of our program. It's nice to be recognized for all our hard work by an educational group hired by the Department of Education to review all New York City's public schools.

It's the time of year when we showcase our students' work in their Performance Based Assessments. They are happening at each of the campuses over the next week and a half. We are always proud of the breadth and depth of the information, and learning that each of the students is able to share. Please help us by being sure that your son or daughter get enough sleep the night before, have a good breakfast, and arrive to school early enough to settle in and be mentally prepared.

Hopefully, we can look forward to the summer knowing that we have had a successful spring semester.
