A welcome from our principal...

Dear Satellite community,

Welcome to Satellite Academy High School. Our community is one that helps shape young people, encourage their love of learning, and empowers them to become healthy, strong, brave, and involved citizens.

We are also dedicated to a high-quality education for each and every student. At our annual School Quality Review, Satellite (all four campuses) resulted in the highest available ranking of "well developed." Outside evaluators come for three days and look at all aspects of our program. It's nice to be recognized for all our hard work by an educational group hired by the Department of Education to review all New York City's public schools.

The school year has wrapped up, and we are now celebrating the graduation of our seniors. Then, staff will be busy preparing for the 2009 - 2010 school year.

Hopefully, we can all enjoy a fun, relaxing, and safe summer. We look forward to seeing you all again in the fall.
